Firm Mission Statement
The law firm of Lindy Korn takes a holistic approach to problem solving. Active listening on the part of the lawyer to the client is essential to creating trust between the parties to achieve a satisfying result.
Knowing from the start, the history of the issues from the clients perspective, the emotional toll the discrimination has caused, the workplace performance challenges, the fear of retaliation, and what the client wants to get out of the legal initiative—are all explored during the consultation session.
Once retained, Lindy Korn and the client work as a team and also work with other professionals to strengthen the client and the case. Often, it is appropriate to include mental health experts, as well as gathering statistical and economic professionals input.
The goal of the legal relationship may be to reach a settlement, obtain an apology, induce an investigation, expose a hostile environment, all which can often be obtained outside of a formal litigation filing. Mediation is a favored process to accomplish these results.
Lindy Korn does practice in federal court (the western and northern districts), and is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court.
The mission of this law firm is to restore relationships within the workplace context and/or to assist people to be compensated for discrimination at work, and to move on to a safer environment.
Power and abuse of power are at the root of sexual harassment and retaliation at work and Lindy Korn is working with her clients to prevent, correct and remedy these issues with both economic and emotional compensations/healing.
